Using RENT IT

RENT IT allows you to apply for a great apartment directly on-line. You can apply for advertised apartments two different ways:

1. Click the “Apply Now” button on the Apartment Summary Screen if you started your search on the FIND IT side of the site. The RENT IT universal application form will instantly pop up; or
2. Click the “APPLY HERE” button right off our Home Page. You will see a dialogue box which asks for either a “Unit ID number” or the “Access Code” provided by the Owner Manager of the apartment.

SAY WHAT?

OKAY, it sounds confusing but it’s really easy! If you looked at apartments over on the FIND IT side, you will notice each one has a Unit ID number listed at the bottom. With that number, you can come back later and apply directly, and quickly, via RENT IT, all without having to scroll through several FIND IT search screens to find your apartment.

Or, if the Owner shared their Access Code you can type it in and all that Owner–Managers advertised units will pop up for you to review. Just pick the one that’s of interest, and RENT IT will automatically present a universal application form for you to fill out.

REMEMBER, not all Maine Apartments are advertised on Padzilla. Some Owner–Managers, however, offer their tenants the ability to apply for an apartment on–line 24/7 365 days a year using RENT IT.

We call these “Screen only” customers. If you are applying to an Owner who uses Tenant–Net for screening only, they will share their “Access Code” with you. Go to the RENT IT side of Padzilla. Click “Apply Here” and you’ll be given the chance to enter that Owner’s Access Code. You will then see a universal application form used by that Owner Manager. Fill it out, and our system emails your application to the Owner–Manager.
